Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

I've put my 'evolution-backup.tar.gz' on my desktop in Serbian
localization. The folder name is "~/Radna površ", so the full path to
the backup tarball was "/home/danilo/Radna površ/evolution-
backup.tar.gz".

If I try to use that (either from the initial configuration window, or
later from the "File > Restore configuration" menu), Evolution pops up a
dialog box saying "Please select a valid backup file to restore."

Moving the backup file to a path which contains no spaces (even if it
contains non-ASCII letters in it — I've tried with /home/danilo
/бекап/evolution-backup.tar.gz) works correctly.

Distribution: Ubuntu Karmic up-to-date as of 2009-09-13
Package: evolution-2.27.92-0ubuntu3

I expect this to be an upstream bug, but don't have time right now to
check what patches Ubuntu includes, so I am writing it down first (can't
log in to gnome bugzilla yet), and I'll forward later if I take a look
at the source code.

** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
