Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

When trying to launch GNOME, Nautilus doesn't start at all. I can see
it's working:

kami...@tommypc:~$ ps aux | grep nautilus
tommy 3746 0.7 1.6 108372 34016 ? S 00:50 0:08 nautilus
kamilka 25058 0.4 0.7 53524 15292 ? S 01:08 0:00 nautilus
kamilka 25060 101 1.1 72448 24352 ? R 01:08 1:02 nautilus

killall -9 nautilus as user "kamilka" doesn't work. Removing dirs with:

rm -fr .gnome .gnome2_private .config .local .nautilus .gconf .gconfd

Doesn't help either. When trying to launch nautilus it just stalls,
shows no errors at all. Nautilus -c produces no errors, can't run it
even with nautilus --sm-client-disable. I am using fully updated Ubuntu
9.10.

After waiting for some time, this shows up:

kami...@tommypc:~$ nautilus

(nautilus:26117): Unique-DBus-WARNING **: Error while sending message:
Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application
did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply,
the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken

Restarted dbus by /etc/init.d/dbus restart - didn't help...

         Status: New
