I'm using Karmic Koala's latest release. I have only just updated today
9/20/09. I went to adjust my screen saver it was still at the default
for 5 minutes. I changed it to thirty to give me ample time. I noticed
that in the preview side I could change my screen saver from the blank
black screen to something active i.e. ant spotlight, etc. I was
selecting each preview to see what preference I would desire and got to
the cyclone selection and my desktop froze. Sometimes my mouse freezes
as well, and sometimes not.
Now when I bring up screen saver utility it is still stuck on the
cyclone selection and freezes everything the instant it pops up after
selecting it, plus the selection being stuck on cyclone I am not able to
adjust my power management utility. The whole machine just sits there. I
have to hold in the power button to reboot and then everything is fine
as long as I don't activate the screen saver utility.
The screen saver actually works fine, though. Nice job. Very
interesting.
