Ubuntu Jaunty used to drop you into a console when you added 'text' to
the kernel bootup options. Karmic drops you into a login prompt on the
livecd instead. This is a problem because I don't know what the
username or password is on the live cd.
Tested on the Karmic September 22 daily iso.
I need the console 'text' mode because X is crashing on startup.
Several of the X troubleshooting wiki pages mention booting into 'text'
mode if startup fails.
