Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gdm

The Norwegian locale lines in /etc/gdm/locale.conf is formatted
incorrectly which leads to very ugly language option for the login
screen.

The Norwegian Bokmål option is displayed as
"Norwegian,_Bokm<U00E5>l(Norway)" in the login screen which leads to
confusion for users.

I suggest the locale.conf file should rather include the following lines to
describe the Norwegian options:
Norwegian(Bokmål) nb_NO
Norwegian(Bokmål) nb_NO.UTF-8
Norwegian(Bokmål) no_NO
Norwegian(Bokmål) no_NO.UTF-8
Norwegian(Nynorsk) nn_NO
Norwegian(Nynorsk) nn_NO.UTF-8

I have changed these lines according to my suggestion on my 9.04
installation and it all looks good and tidy now.

** Affects: gdm (Ubuntu)
