The issue appears to be the binary cache format (~/.local/share/mime/mime.cache) has changed from version 1.1 to 1.2 but what is reading this file is treating it as in 1.1 format. You can update this cache file by running: $ update-mime-database.real -V ~/.local/share/mime/
