Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gdm

GDM on Karmic introduced too many GUI elements in the lower line, after
I click on an account name.

The result is that those elements overlap each other and are partially
unusable.

The resolution gdm decides to display on is 800 x 600.

To fix this, I would either reduce the number of GUI elements or display
on a higher resolution (at least 1024 x 768 should be possible nearly
everwhere).

This is a regression from Jaunty.
