Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xdg-user-dirs
With accounts originating from a previous release of Ubunut (Jaunty), an
upgrade to Karmic yields in strange configuration of the XDG user dirs.
For me, the following are set (this used to be $HOME/Musik, $HOME/Bilder
and %HOME/Videos on Jaunty).
XDG_MUSIC_DIR="$HOME/"
XDG_PICTURES_DIR="$HOME/"
XDG_VIDEOS_DIR="$HOME/"
After using this account on Karmic, these three folders are set to the
home directory. With users added on Karmic the directories are set
correctly.
