Thanks for your report. Could you run
sudo killall /usr/bin/perl; sudo
/usr/share/system-tools-backends-2.0/scripts/SystemToolsBackends.pl -m
SMBConfig -v
then start 'shares-admin' from another console, and reproduce the
problems you describe without stopping the above command. Then, please
attach the output from both programs. Thanks!
