Binary package hint: evolution
Edit > Plugins, New mail notification, Configuration, choose for example
the file /usr/share/sounds/gnome/default/alerts/drip.ogg, and click play
: it doesn't work (while the file works in nautilus or any music
player).
And of course, when receiving a new mail, no sound is played.
