Binary package hint: evolution
Edit > Plugins > Mail notification > Configuration > select a soundfile
(a .wav, doesn't work with .ogg) .
This soundfile is played when receiving a mail, but it is also played for every
action.
For example, when you open a dialog box (Edit > Preferences ; Edit > Plugins ;
Edit > Filters…).
This sound should be played ONLY when receiving a mail.
