You have been subscribed to a public bug:
I have many top level folders of images, and have my preferred images in
a folder/directory called "Pictures".
I noticed that the default Karmic install had a "Pictures" folder, with
a special icon. In the process of copying my Jaunty data, I replaced
THAT folder with a "normal" folder called, "Pictures" that had my
desired seceen saver slideshow images.
So, that above may , or may not be why now:
Going to "System > Preferences > Screensaver" and selecting "Pictures
folder", I get not only the images in my "Pictures" folder displayed,
but any other of the numerous folders I have that have images in them.
I originally thought this was just an error in that Config preview
window, but have since seen my screen saver also display images from
multiple directories that have images in them.
** Affects: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu)
