Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: file-roller
File-roller successfully opens a rar archive, then I click "Extract" and
chose a directory. As a result I get:
An error occured while extracting files.
unrar: invalid option -- 'k'
Try `unrar --help' or `unrar --usage' for more information.
1) Ubuntu 9.04
2)
file-roller: 2.26.1-0ubuntu1
unrar-free: 1:0.0.1+cvs20071127-1
3)
I expect file-roller to:
a) extract files correctly or
b) state explicitly that it cannot cooperate with unrar-free
4)
I observed three different behaviors trying with the same rar file:
a) Error box with additional info:
An error occured while extracting files.
unrar: invalid option -- 'k'
b) Error box with no further info:
An error occured while extracting files.
c) A message "Extraction completed successfully" is shown, but it turns out
that only empty directory is produced (while there are files in the archive).
5) If run this way:
file-roller --g-fatal-warnings
exactly the same behavior is seen.
