Public bug reported: Binary package hint: file-roller
Problem: If dragging & dropping files from within an archive opened using File Roller, if you drag those files to extract to a Nautilus window while passing over the "Places" pane in Nautilus, Nautilus will instantly crash, taking all desktop icons with it too. You can re-open Nautilus and re-do the operation, but it will only succeed if you drag the icons AROUND the Places pane. This problem is easily reproduced using any archive type and any destination in Nautilus. See the attached screenshot for a visual demonstration.
