You can certainly close the bug, but I think maybe there's a documentation solution out there, with some sort of prompt or help text on the preferences screen. As you know, mail is a deceptive application, simple in the interface but very deep in the internals . . . the user needs to be either protected or guided. Thanks for following up with me.
