m...@osiris:~$ cat /usr/share/applications/kde4/kile.desktop | grep Cat Categories=Qt;KDE;Office;Publishing;
There is no reason why kile would be listed twice. The only thing I can think about is that whatever component builds the menu for gnome-panel got a messed up implementation (i.e. showing the entry because of Office AND Publishing). However, Office is a parent category and Publishing is a sub-category (which can either belong to Graphics or Office, latter in this case obviously :)) Information as per http://standards.freedesktop.org/menu-spec/menu-spec-1.0.html#category-registry So I am bouncing this bug to gnome-panel for further processing. p.s. works perfectly fine on KDE ** Package changed: kile (Ubuntu) => gnome-panel (Ubuntu) -- kile is listed twice in the Programs > Office menu https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/441580 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
