Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

System: Ubuntu 9.10 RC (upgraded from jaunty)

The GNOME session freezes (100% cpu usage) during theme change in Appearance
Preferences
The problem is caused by config file .gtkrc-2.0 created by gtk-theme-switch2

Steps to reproduce:
1) in gtk-theme-switch2, change theme to Clearlooks
2) in gnome-appearance-properties, change theme to New Wave // the color
settings from new theme not applied correctly
3) click on Customize, then in Colors tab try to reset colors - GNOME session
freezes the only option is to restart the session

The problem occurs always with the steps above. Moreover, sometimes it
also freezes when I simply click on random theme from the list.

$ cat .gtkrc-2.0
# -- THEME AUTO-WRITTEN DO NOT EDIT
include "/usr/share/themes/Clearlooks/gtk-2.0/gtkrc"

include "/home/jag/.gtkrc-2.0.mine"
