Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
Ubuntu 9.10; just did an in-place upgrade from 9.04.
Audio worked perfectly with 9.04. With 9.10, audio quality is scratchy,
and I can't get the same loudness as I could with 9.04. "Sound
Preferences" has my hardware listed as "Internal Audio / 1 Output/1
Input / Analog Stereo Duplex".
My speakers are connected to the motherboard's green analog stereo
output. I can use the "Profile" menu to change to any other analog
profiles, but the scratchy-and-quite problem persists.
Motherboard: Asus M3N78-VM with integral NVIDIA GeForce 8200.
