Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-media

Sound recorder is not working at all. If I record something and try to
play it back, I am getting an error "Stream contains no data". The
progress-bar not moving during recording.

Input tab of Sound Preference window not indicating any input Level from
microphone. The same microphone is working perfectly in my other OS.
