Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel
** Bug Description ** Sometimes when I log out and then back in, the rightmost taskbar icon fails to display correctly (it appears to be displaying a bit of graphics from the element to its left). In the attached screenshot, you can see what it should appear like in the top example and an example of the corruption on the bottom. ** Notes ** - I am using the Dust theme with the Dust toolbar graphic, so I am not sure if that is contributing to the problem. - Any expected change to the icon (such as connecting to a network or change of signal strength) does not redraw that area of the panel. I can still click on the area where the icon should be, and it behaves normally. - The screenshots were taken after I removed Pulseaudio, so the volume control icon is no longer present. Prior to removing Pulseaudio, the network manager would display as the volume control icon, since the volume control icon was to the left of the network manager. ** My System ** PC: HP Pavilion dv1550se laptop CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.60GHz RAM: 1GB DDR400 Video: Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller Sound: 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) AC'97 Audio Controller OS: Ubuntu 9.10 w/ all updates as of 11/1/09 ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Sun Nov 1 18:33:06 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 Package: gnome-panel 1:2.28.0-0ubuntu6 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-14.48-generic SourcePackage: gnome-panel Uname: Linux 2.6.31-14-generic i686 XsessionErrors: (gnome-settings-daemon:1946): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_propagate_error: assertion `src != NULL' failed (gnome-settings-daemon:1946): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_propagate_error: assertion `src != NULL' failed (nautilus:2039): Eel-CRITICAL **: eel_preferences_get_boolean: assertion `preferences_is_initialized ()' failed (polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1:2062): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_once_init_leave: assertion `initialization_value != 0' failed (gnome-panel:2038): Gtk-WARNING **: gtk_widget_size_allocate(): attempt to allocate widget with width -1 and height 24 ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- taskbar icons corrupted after logging out and back in https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/469818 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
