You have been subscribed to a public bug: OS: Ubuntu 9.10 64bit Machine: a MacBook Pro 3.1 (updated from 9.04) and a ThinkPad x200 (fresh install)
In Jaunty's gconf-editor ticking OFF the following flag made the hibernate option in the shutdown dialogue disappear. apps > gnome-power-manager > general > can_hibernate In Karmic both machines don't show any difference and the hibernate option is still there. This is not a huge problem, but users may accidentally click on that button, which is broken on most laptops (at least on the two I'm testing on). Plus one should have the ability to throw out unwanted shutdown options. This bug might be somewhat related to the following (marked as fixed before Karmic's release): https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-power-manager/+bug/407491 ** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gconf: gnome-power-manager hibernate flag https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/467284 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
