Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
I do not like gaps in my panel, so if i want a gap, I use a separator. I
have icons on the left & the right of my panel and I like them to stay
as far right & left as possible even when I change my resolution
(happens when I add a 2nd monitor, which happens when I dock my laptop).
xfce4 panel has this ability, it has a spacer item that can either be a
fixed width, say 2px, or it can take up the remainder of the space,
"pushing" all items away from it.
This would be especially nice as currently when I remove an applet from
the panel, I must move every applet to the left or right to collapse the
icons to take up the space it left behind.
