Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

Hello,

Just to report a problem for which I found a solution. In Jaunty and in
Karmic I've had a very long time to wait until my flash drives (and
perhaps other devices, I did not try) will appear and automount.

I watched udev activity (udevadm monitor) and all UDEV operations took a
very long time (KERNEL ops were fast)... So I just checked the rules in
/etc/udev/rules.d, and find that removing the 99-btnx.rules file makes
my system work correctly, and fast anew.

Here are the contents of the file 99-btnx.rules :
BUS=="usb", SYSFS{idVendor}=="046d", SYSFS{idProduct}=="c51a", ACTION=="add",
RUN+="/etc/init.d/btnx start", WAIT_FOR_SYSFS="bus"

So perhaps it may help sby ?

Best wishes.
