Binary package hint: gnome-media
The new gnome-volume-control in Ubuntu Karmic drop the possibility to
mix stereo into more channels like 5.1.
Have to ressort to editing ~/.pulse/daemon.conf
with default-sample-channels = 6
This is a huge regression from earlier Ubuntu since users have to dig
into text foreign language obscure configuration files.
