Public bug reported: Binary package hint: totem
totem 2.28.2 on Karmic x86_64. I noticed that my usual radio streams have been stalling lately, and then I noticed that it's always "about" 9:15 after I start them. The software doesn't crash; it just stops. If I press pause, wait a bit, then press play, it re-buffers and starts up again. This has happened reliably about 10 times in a row today. I also tried Quod Libet (another gstreamer-based player) and got the exact same problem. No relevant output appears in the console or .xsession-errors. I can confirm that it is not a problem with the source of the stream (tried different streams) or my network. >From there, I tried gstreamer at the command line: gst-launch -v gnomevfssrc location=http://voxsc1.somafm.com:8206 ! faad ! audioconvert ! audioresample ! pulsesink This worked for over an hour without hitch 'till I cancelled it and tried again with totem. Totem stopped playing audio again at about 9:15. Then I tried with VLC, also had no problem streaming for more than an hour. I don't know what sort of gstreamer pipeline totem uses to stream; or Quod Libet for that matter. Perhaps they don't use GVFS, so it's an entirely unfair test. I tried running totem via command line with: totem --debug http://voxsc1.somafm.com:8206 But the only output I get AT ALL is: ** Message: no file info (Shouldn't "debug" dump a little more than this?) I wish I could provide more details... just can't get any log output from totem. ** Affects: totem (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Totem stalls on streamed audio after about 9m15s https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/475865 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to totem in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
