Thanks, Rob for clarification. I noticed mine acting like this: it will sometimes say "authentication error", then "network error" immediately following. But usually it's the "network error". I have tried my user name with and without "@yahoo.com", which works for you? The Empathy does show up in the envelope icon in 9.10. I found it easier to just delete the account each time I wanted to try new settings, because I am not confident "edit account" gets it, until you quit and restart. Also, I am making sure I have logged into Yahoo.com in Firefox before trying this. The frustrating thing is there aren't very many settings at all.
I was just reading your post again, Rob, when you said that you "disable and re-enable the protocol" which protocol? Or do you mean you are disabling and re-enabling the account in "Edit accounts"? -- Error connecting to the Yahoo network https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/418244 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
