I'm running Jaunty on a Samsung r60+ laptop, on kernel 2.6.28-13-generic.
When I try to change the screen brightness using the keyboard shortcuts (Fn +
Up or Down on my pc) the system becomes almost completely unresponsive: the
keyboard won't work anymore, except for ctrl-alt-backspace. Almost all the
applets in the gnome-panel won't work (i.e. clicking on Applications won't pop
up the menu). Right clicking doesn't work as well, and if there are any windows
open, they won't move.
Other keyboard shortcuts, like changing the volume, don't create any
problem. Also changing the brightness using the gnome-panel applet works
fine.
Please tell me if you need any specific output and I will post it.
p.s. I have the same problem also in Karmic alpha2 (on the same pc)
