Public bug reported:

Sound works from headphones, but no sound comes from the speakers. It is
an NB205 and I see that there has been an issue with this for awhile now
with other people's computers. I am using Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic netbook
remix and have the latest kernel 2.6.31. Like I said, I hear sound from
headphones, but I do not hear it from the speakers. Any help would be
great. Since it is a sound problem I guess it needs to be filed under
the linux package. below is what printed out when I put in 'apt-cache
policy linux':

linux:
  Installed: (none)
  Candidate: 2.6.31.14.27
  Version table:
     2.6.31.14.27 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages
