Public bug reported:

Totem
VIA Trident Cyberblade
Acer 1024x768 56hsync
8.04 through 9.10

In other media players I can change the video driver for output and it
resolves the issue but I get a smoother playback from Totem. In 8.04 I
was able to change the drivers around that xorg used all together and
was able to solve the issue that way, but the gui for doing that has not
been available since that release.
