Oops, The info I just posted is wrong. I have ubuntu both on my laptop and desktop. Laptop has Jaunty. Desktop has Karmic. So I got confused. Sorry about that.
I have only seen this problem on Jaunty (laptop). I haven't seen this issue on Karmic yet. I am yet to run out of space. On my laptop, when I move to Karmic, which will happen soon, I will check if this problem exists.
