My memory stick had a lot of stuff I did not want to keep. After
deleting the files from the memory stick, Ubuntu made a trash file on
the memory stick to store the files. A trash folder! This did not
increase the available room on the memory stick. I only found the trash
folder after I asked for hidden files to be shown. Then I knew why the
memory stick was still just as full as when I started. Permission to
permanently delete the trash folder and its contents were denied! The
only way I could think of getting rid of the trash was to take the stick
to a windows computer. I knew that windows computers do not make a trash
folder on a memory stick you are trying to empty.... That seems like a
good idea.

The problem?I was unable to permanently delete the trash folder on the
memory stick - or was it that the trash folder was created in the 1st
instance?

Regards,

Tim.
