Hello, I've just upgraded to 2.28.2 in a relatively fresh install of Karmic-- still the same problem. Brasero performs perfectly on video dvds but won't recognize a recordable dvd for the purpose of burning a copied data dvd (in this case Ubuntu 9.10 Live CD).
