Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution
I get several THOUSAND emails from several months ago up to the present. (This has happened every time today -- never happened before). I am swamped in old emails. It takes a long time to delete all of them. Then when I closed out evolution and reopen it later, the same thing happens again. (The seems to be no "check" in the system to just have the mail server deliver only "new" email. It dumps everything on the computer --- thousands and thousands of emails ) This started this morning (I have not used Ubuntu for 6 days, and when I booted up this morning, had quite a few upgrades. It happened after that. I have an Acer Aspire One Ubuntu 9.10 Remix (partition shared with Windows XP Home) --Ubuntu installed early November, 2009 Synaptic 0.62.5 ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Sat Nov 21 14:20:51 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/evolution InstallationMedia: Ubuntu-Netbook-Remix 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release i386 (20091028.4) Package: evolution 2.28.1-0ubuntu2 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-14.48-generic SourcePackage: evolution Tags: ubuntu-unr Uname: Linux 2.6.31-14-generic i686 ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 ubuntu-unr -- when open evolution email, all my past emails on the server are COMPLETELY downloaded to computer--THOUSANDS OF THEM!!
