Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

1) Ubuntu 9.10

2) nautilus:
  Installed: 1:2.28.1-0ubuntu2
  Candidate: 1:2.28.1-0ubuntu2
  Version table:
 *** 1:2.28.1-0ubuntu2 0
        500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com karmic-updates/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     1:2.28.1-0ubuntu1 0
        500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages

3) I pressed F2 to rename a file. While typing the new file name, I had
to type the character 'r', which is the shortcut for opening a new tab
(at least in my nautilus). Instead of typing 'r', Nautilus exited the
file renaming mode and opened a new tab.

4) Keyboard shortcuts should not override the renaming mode.

Workaround: type the new file name in any text field and then copy &
paste it.

Note: I don't know whether this shortcut 'R' for opening a new tab is
the new default, but the fact is that I've always used Ctrl+T in the
past in Jaunty Jackalope. Since I've upgraded to Karmic, it's become
'R'. However, I've never changed any shortcuts.

** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
