Binary package hint: yelp

Using Ubuntu 9.10 on i386 32-bit.
Rhythmbox 0.12.5-Oubuntu5 & Brasero 2.28.2-Oubuntu1----both came with the 9.10 
upgrade

1. Recently upgraded to 9.10 through Update Manager.  Have also checked that 
all recent updates are loaded & have run      Synaptic + refresh
2. Neither program will open/run through Applications
3. Then attempted to open both through Terminal.   Following response was 
displayed

failed

Any fixes available?
