the protocol doesn't matter, this happens on the contact list however, i figured out some interesting behavior that i didn't notice until now: - when empathy starts, you are able to launch chats by double clicking on contacts - highlight a contact using a single click. double clicking on a contact should now do nothing. when it's in this state, there's two things you can do: - triple click a contact. this will open a chat window. it will also restore the expected double click behavior - single click another contact. the expected double click behavior is restored.
so it seems single clicking on contacts puts empathy in some weird state that requires another single click to be returned back to a normal state. i guessing the triple click gets translated into a single click followed by double click, so that's why it has the same behavior as such. if you can reproduce this, i'll modify the title and the summary -- [lucid] opening a chat window requires a triple-click https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/496106 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
