Good morning Pedro. Unfortunately I'm a beginner and don't know exactly what it is you're asking me to do. I think you are telling me to enter coded instructions using Terminal. If this is correct, can you please instruct me exactly what it is that I need to type in? I also don't know which application "Totem" refers to - it is "difficult" being a beginner.
The Movie Player will not directly open / play the audio disk. When I insert the audio disk (or right click the audio disk image on desk top) and select open with Movie Player , I get a dialog box " An error occurred. Could not open location; you might not have permission to open the file. " . However, when I double click on a CD track using the Audio Disc - File Browser , the Movie Player is launched (!!) and the music plays without any problems. I would appreciate your help and guidance. Many thanks, George On Wed, Dec 16, 2009 at 3:20 AM, Pedro Villavicencio <[email protected]>wrote: > thanks for the report, could you run rhythmbox as: rhythmbox --debug &> > rhythmbox-debug.txt ; reproduce the issue and attach that resulting file > to the report? do you get the same with totem? > > ** Changed in: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) > Importance: Undecided => Low > > ** Changed in: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) > Status: New => Incomplete > > ** Changed in: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) > Assignee: (unassigned) => Ubuntu Desktop Bugs (desktop-bugs) > > -- > Playing audio cd - Rhythmbox seems to jump tracks - occassional put-put > sound. > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/497219 > You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber > of the bug. > > Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete > > Bug description: > Binary package hint: rhythmbox > > I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 as the only installed OS - it was installed last > week, and this is my first exposure to Linux. > Hardware: MB is Asus A7N8x-X-UAYZ, with onboard AC 97 Audio Controller.
