Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdm
I use gdm as a display manager. It starts up and displays a login screen with an accesibility menu, but the login window is empty. I attached /var/log/gdm/:0-greeter.log.1. (Apologies for Swedish; "Lyckat" means "Success", and there are warnings entities that aren't ended by semicolons.) The usernames on this computer are "aaaaa-bbbbb" and "xxxxx-yyyyy" (redacted), but the log contains warnings about not finding "bbbbb" and "yyyyy". The GECOS fields are "aaaaa & bbbbb" and "xxxxx & yyyyy", respectively; this seems to be related to the warning about entities. However, I tried to add another user without hyphens and ampersands, but the problem remains.
