  When using auto-hide with Gnome Panel and transparency, the transparency
  will look good when you're on the desktop or using unmaximized windows,
  but with windows maximized, the transparency shows the desktop wallpaper
  - not the window underneath and it looks hideous.
  
  As pictures are worth 1000 words, I've attached some examples.
  
+ The transparency of the panel should include whatever is underneath the
+ panel at the time, instead of just the desktop wallpaper.
