Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
Steps:
1) Add a new panel in gnome
2) Open gconf-editor, go to /apps/panel/toplevels/panel_0 (or whatever name of
the new panel is)
3) Check the auto_hide box
4) Set the auto_hide_size to 0
At this point the whole gnome desktop freezes, I can still move the
mouse but can't do anything else. Switching to console, I can see that
gnome-panel is taking 100% CPU. The only solution is to either change
the auto_hide_size to 1 using gconftool and restart gdm (or wipe
~/.gconf* and restart gdm).
