Steps to reproduce:
1. System > Preferences > Screensaver
2. Select "Blank Screen" and set the timeout to 1 minute
3. Open the Applications menu
4. Wait 61 seconds.
Expected result:
The screensaver kicks in.
Actual result:
Nothing happens.
