I am confused. When you write "blank CDs or DVDs", do you mean writable
CDs and DVDs that are fresh and have never been written to? If so, then it
would proper for mount to return an error, because there is no filesystem on
these disks. The drive applet will not help you there.
Do you mean that Nautilus is not presenting you with a way to write files to
that
media?
