Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

I have a remote machine I mount via the fsab entry
>>>sshfs#my_lo...@my_mahine_name:my_mount_point my_directory fuse user,noauto
>>>0 0
I mount this as myself after using the VPN to get onto the network that the
machine lives on.

After working with this mount I normally remember to unmount it before logging
off the vpn, but if I don't the file browser hangs if any attempt is made to
use that directory.
In fact if I use the command line and try to cd to that directory the terminal
hangs also.
After a large amount of time the system appears to understand that the mount is
now missing and all is well, but this is an infuriatingly long time if you made
the mistake of opening a program that references the dir as they all hang up.

What I think should happen is that the VPN being closed should announce the
fact via dbus to a mount daemon (fuse daemon ?) .
That mount daemon should determine what mounts should be closed.
It could keep a list of the mounts opened after the vpn was started, but that
is a little sketchy, maybe it was your own disk.
I think it would be better to have an attribute of a fuse mount that associates
it with a VPN or other network connection being valid.
