I'm using Ubuntu 8.10, but having the same problem on an external 22" monitor running at 1680x1...@60hz. Unfortunately, I don't seem to have the proper apport. When I try to run apport-collect, I get "command not found". When I run apport-cli, I get "No pending crash reports." I've run synaptic to make sure I have the latest of everything related to apport, but it still does nothing for me. I'm so frustrated because I have to boot into Windoze to watch my movies. I was hoping to be finished with Micro$oft years ago, but I keep getting sucked back into the black hole.
