Off topic clarification.

As a new user of linux, I see that my explanation of why I was using the
gnome-sound-recorder 2.28.1 has resulted in cross referencing to
gnuradio. I want to make clear that there is no problem with the
gnuradio audio_source. My first try failed and I started elsewhere
looking for success. I agree with the author of report #209374 that
voice recording should be compact and was surprised to find 4 byte
samples for voice grade recording. Seeking to contribute, I sought to
suggest that improvement could be obtained with smaller samples.
Further, I felt an option to record in stereo wave format would be
useful.

I have found that binary editing with beav of the header would make the
output of the gnome-sound-recorder acceptable to the gnuradio wave_sink
and the scope_sink. Of course the 4 byte samples were reinterpreted as
two 2 byte stereo channels. This same technique of editing the header
to add size information makes the output of the wave_sink acceptable to
the wave_source.
