Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs

Palimpsest Disk Utility reports that "DISK HAS MANY BAD SECTORS". And
warnings in ID5: Reallocated Sector Count and ID197: Current Pending
Sector Count. This is the 2nd time this has happened.

Is this a bug or is there a way I can clear these warnings? I am a new
user in Ubuntu 9.10, coming from Win XP and any help is great.

This is what I have done ... the first time I got the warnings, I
reformatted the hard disk, installed Win XP on it. Did a check disk and
everything came back clean. And I reinstalled Ubuntu 9.10; and I get the
warnings again. Is this a bug or does the hard disk really has many bad
sectors?

Thanks.
