I am facing this very same problem .... at my place rhythumbox turns unresponsive and Gray in shade when i click in browser window in order to browse my songs from my local hard drive .. earlier i thought this might occurred due to overloading on Linux box .. so i killed all the process but i don't find any luck with it ..
