Public bug reported: Binary package hint: yelp
1) After last upgrade ( 3 Feb 2010) the gnome-volume-control-applet is disappeared! I tried to kill and restart and I got: r...@muawijhe-dsea:~# gnome-volume-control-applet --debug ** (gnome-volume-control-applet:6724): DEBUG: Enabling debugging ** (gnome-volume-control-applet:6724): DEBUG: Connecting.. and nothing more... However, the sound system is working properly! 2) I can't modify the volume by acting on the keyboard shortcuts... It seems that these problems affect the user root only. Other users can modify easily and they see the applet as well. I tried to remove all the gnome/pulseaudio/etc settings in the root folder but without success. Let me know why this is happening :) Best regards, Vincenzo ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 Date: Thu Feb 4 10:46:02 2010 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/yelp InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 "Lucid Lynx" - Alpha amd64 (20100119) Package: yelp 2.28.0+webkit-1ubuntu1 ProcAttrCurrent: unconfined (enforce) ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.utf8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-11.15-generic SourcePackage: yelp Uname: Linux 2.6.32-11-generic x86_64 ** Affects: yelp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug lucid -- gnome-volume-control-applet (root user) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/516979 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to yelp in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
