Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

When I turn on my bluetooth headset, it reconnects automatically, as I
can see in the drop-down menu of the bluetooth status area applet. But
it's often not listed in the Hardware tab of the Sound control panel.
It's not listed in the Input or Output tabs too, so I can't activate it
for input or output.

I can workaround this by rebinding the bluetooth headset. Repeated
attempts to reconnect also help sometimes, though sometimes the headset
is then listed in Hardware, but as Profile: Off and I'm not able to
change that.

I have seen this on both my desktop PC and laptop, both running Ubuntu
Karmic. I'm using a Philips SHB 6110/10 headset.
