Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

Ok, lets say I download a file from Google Chrome. If I have my download
directory open in Nautilus, the file I downloaded won't show up unless I
refresh. This occurs with any file modifications done in a separate
window. I would expect the directory to automatically know a new file
has been created (or renamed, deleted, etc.) and just show it when it
happens.

I am running Ubuntu 9.10 on a Dell E6400
